Many years ago, Mr. John traveled the world as a sailor, gathering experiences and inspiration from every corner of the globe. After retiring, he wanted to bring something unique to Andros—something that could share his passion for hospitality. That vision became reality in the 1990s with the creation of Villa Giannakis, one of the island’s first family-run hotels, built with love and care.

Twenty-four years later, Christos—John and Sofia’s son—together with his wife Anastasia and their children, took over the family legacy. This new chapter gave birth to Aelia: a cozy, welcoming place where guests are treated like friends, invited to experience the very best of authentic Greek island life.
